Optional Accessories for Your Forklift
Audible Devices - Motion or back-Up Alarms:
Motion alarms and backup alarms are audio device accessories which generate enough sound so that the sound is heard overtop the sounds generated from the forklift itself.
The sound generated by the audio device should be distinguishable from other audible devices or noises from the work setting. The sound should also be different from the other noise or audible devices within the work area. The audible device could end up contributing to OSHA noise limitation and to employee noise exposure; thus, care must be taken.
Determine the distance and direction the sound of the audible device is made harder due to the use of hearing protection. Audible devices can sometimes get disabled from both workers and operators because they could find them really annoying. In addition, audible devices can also be objectionable to nearby residents.
Additional Application and Operator Options:
Enclosed Operator Cabs: Operator enclosed cabs help to protect the operator from the elements. They utilize tempered glass in order to avoid injuries. In addition, these cabs feature an emergency exit through window removal. The levels of noise are lessened at the operator's ear because of additional sound proofing.
Operator Selectable Performance Modes: For each specific application, the operator can choose the performance need. As well, it allows a supervisor to set the maximum performance of a unit for an operator who is just learning. Being able to adjust and lessen the maximum performance of the unit enables a new operator to learn the operating features of the machinery in a controlled environment.
Impact Monitor: The impact monitor disables the unit and when this occurs, it requires a supervisor to activate and override the unit. This encourages the operator to be sure to manage the machinery in a more controlled manner.
Dual Rear View and Panoramic Mirrors: These particular mirrors help to assist the operator in observing the operating space behind the vehicle, and their tail swing area.
