Propane cylinders are designed to take up very little space and can be kept inside the storage area or in an outdoor facility. It does take some time to switch out a propane cylinder, although, it still does requires operator training in order to be conducted safely and also need knowledge of safety standards like for example the Occupational Health and Safety Administration or OSHA.

Compared to the electric lift truck, IC lift trucks are faster and easier to refuel. Nevertheless, the IC engine does produce polluting emissions and are extremely noisy.

NARROW-AISLE FORKLIFTS
The ITA's Class 2 trucks consist of a huge range of electric lift trucks and these are particularly designed to be used in narrow aisles. The typical storage aisles are 12 feet wide, and this easily allows a counterbalanced forklift to turn in the aisle and put a load away. Typically, the very narrow aisles are approximately 5.5 to 6 feet wide, while narrow aisles are 8 feet wide. These narrow aisles require specialized lift trucks that could put away cargo without any turning at all or which are small enough to turn on a tight radius.

Reach trucks, turret trucks and order pickers are 3 of the most common narrow-aisle lift trucks. The differences amongst these trucks are discussed below.

Narrow-Aisle Reach Trucks
The traditional reach truck is the original narrow-aisle forklift and these machines do not need a counterweight. They are also small enough to turn around in narrow aisles. Instead, stability is provided by the outrigger arms which extend in front of the trucks. However, these outrigger arms could prevent the lift trucks from getting close enough to the storage rack to retrieve and deposit cargo, depending on the storage configuration. To be able to overcome this situation, a pantograph was designed. The pantograph is really a reach truck which is made with a telescoping device. This enables forks to reach into storage areas concisely and easily.

The best environment for narrow aisle forklifts is a place which has good lighting, clean floors and well maintained floor, good traffic flow, along with sufficient turning space.
These kinds of machines have revolutionized the material handling industry. Toyota stands behind their commitment to providing exceptional quality and extremely durable equipment. As the business evolves, they always strive to apply solutions so as to give their diverse client base with the best available products.
