To be able to efficiently handle empty and laden containers for stacking in a safe manner, or loading and unloading between road truck, barge, terminal and railcar, CAT has designed and engineered many pieces of machinery to get the task done.

When equipped with forks or with a side-spreader, the container handler lift truck could stack up to 5 containers. The cabin could be placed in 3 various positions to provide an optimal view and excellent safety.

There are a range of container handlers which have been specifically designed to stack empty containers up to 8 high in a secure and safe manner. The equipment could be outfitted with a spreader for single handling or double handling. The cabin has been rear mounted for the best visibility options.

Loaded Container Handlers
Suitable lift trucks for working with loaded containers will include huge industrial lift trucks with load capacities of 28 to 52 tonnes. These models are suitable outfitted with mast-integrated gantries for mounting top spreaders and for mounting piggy-back attachments as much as 5 containers high.
