Man Lift Designs
On the market nowadays, there is a huge array of articulating lifts, with various kinds of lifts to fit each circumstance, application and work venue. There are particular manufacturers who specify in lifts for dangerous environments including petro-chemical plants, underground tunnel situations, and other locations where there is a risk of dust or explosive gases, for example in grain-processing plants.

Other lifts have been designed especially to mount onto big flatbed trucks or onto the back of pickup trucks or onto trailers. There are models that include articulating booms that could are controlled by the operator and be self-propelled, while others could pivot 360 degrees.

There are lift models designed specifically for indoor and outdoor application, and come in both 4-wheel and 2-wheel powered models. In some cases, the platforms are adjustable and some types of lifts feature baskets where the employee stands. These platforms or baskets are adjustable and enable the employees to remain level or swing into location, depending on what the operator must finish the job. There are different kinds of platforms and baskets that come wired in order to allow the operator to plug tools in as required.
