Daewoo Dual Fuel Forklifts Wisconsin

Basic Fuel Types of Forklifts
Powered lift trucks referred to as forklifts are utilized in almost every business to move heavy items and materials. The forklift is a very durable and reliable machinery which has become important tools in many construction and warehouse settings. Lift truck models vary depending on the type of work setting and the type of fuel that is utilized to power the lift truck.

Electricity
Electric powered lift trucks are great for indoor settings, or in locations with limited ventilation because they produce no exhaust fumes. They are designed with industrial strength batteries. Because the electric forklift batteries require charging, the worksite should have a charging station. The batteries are durable and can be re-charged up to 1,500 times before they have to be replaced. The charging station must be located in a ventilated area and include an emergency eyewash station and an acid spill kit.

Propane
Liquid propane powered forklifts are frequently utilized in modern industrial applications as propane has some advantages over electric and diesel. Propane models are cleaner to use than diesel-powered units. There is no down time needed to recharge an industrial battery, and the cost for propane is less compared to the cost of electricity. A forklift propane tank can be refueled easily and quickly by changing out the empty tank with a full tank. Normally an off-site supplier refills the empty tank, making refueling very safe and efficient.

Gasoline and Gas
Gasoline and Diesel forklifts are the machine of choice for rough terrain and outdoor applications. They are commonly found on lumber yards and construction sites. Their disadvantages include odorous exhaust, fairly high fuel costs and relatively high maintenance requirements. Their benefits comprise a longer lifespan than other units and reliability in tough conditions. Gasoline and diesel units must be refueled at a supply station on site that meets safety and health regulations.
